March 6 marks the 30th anniversary of the capsizing of the Herald of Free Enterprise ferry moments after leaving the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium on the way to Dover, UK. Nearly 130 people lost their lives in the icy waters of the English Channel. Investigators believe the vessel took on water because the loading doors may not have been properly closed.
