UPPER DARBY, PENNSYLVANIA — A daycare worker from Pennsylvania has been fired after shocking video footage emerged of her pushing a 4-year-old girl down a flight of stairs.

Sarah Gable, 52, was caught shoving the child last Friday afternoon at the Child Care of the Future daycare center in the township of Upper Darby, CBS Philly reported.

By sheer luck, the daycare center’s surveillance cameras had only been installed just minutes before the incident took place.

Manager Shawayne Tavares witnessed the assault on camera in real time and rushed to confront Gable.

Tavares said she was so upset she had tears in her eyes. She said the little girl was really shaken up and her eyes were pleading for help.

The cops were called and Gable was arrested. She was charged with simple assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. She’s also likely to face a charge of reckless endangerment.

Tavares claims Gable made the excuse that the girl had lost her shoe, which caused her to fall down the stairs. But she wasn’t falling for that line.

Gable was fired on the spot and is currently out on $25,000 bail.

Luckily, the little girl only suffered a knee injury and was able to return to the daycare center this week.
