NASA is sending a superbug to the space station. Astronauts on the International Space Station will research the effects of zero gravity on the antibiotic-resistant superbug MRSA. The bacteria will launch from the same pad where the first manned mission to the moon lifted off. Working in conjunction with NASA, lead researcher Dr. Anita Goel hopes that by sending MRSA bacteria to a zero-gravity environment, we can better understand how superbugs mutate to become resistant to available antibiotics.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subscribe to OneIndia News Channel for latest updates on movies and related videos.

You Tube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqTa3sNT6SfiQ2DQK_kuWlA

Follow us on Twitter : https://twitter.com/Oneindia

Like us on Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/oneindianews

Join our circle in Google Plus : https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/112448479869362930381/+oneindia

Download App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.oneindia.android.tamilapp
