Eric Bischof, who helped advise the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on matters related to the American International Group,<br />will join Bank of America as co-head of its global financial institutions group, serving alongside Jim O’Neil in New York.<br />Here is the text of the full memo, which was written by Diego De Giorgi, head of global investment banking at Bank of America:<br />We are pleased to announce that Eric Bischof will join our firm as co-head of Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG).<br />Bank of America Hires Top Banker Away From Morgan Stanley -<br />By MICHAEL J. de la MERCEDMARCH 20, 2017<br />Bank of America has poached a top rainmaker for financial services companies from Morgan Stanley.<br />Eric joins us from Morgan Stanley where he was most recently co-head of the Global Financial Institutions Group.<br />Mr. Bischof was previously co-head of Morgan Stanley’s financial institutions banking<br />practice, where he served as a longtime deal maker for big insurance firms.<br />The hiring, announced in an internal memorandum on Monday, comes amid a potential rise in mergers among financial<br />institutions as the Trump administration signals it will loosen regulations governing such combinations.<br />He also advised the Fortress Investment Group, the private equity firm, in its $3.3 billion sale to the Japanese technology giant SoftBank.
