The United Kingdom has followed the United States in preventing passengers from several muslim-majority countries to take large electronic devices on board. The ban will be imposed in flights to the UK from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.<br /> The decision is based on intelligence suggesting terror groups could blow up commercial airliners with explosives hidden in consumer items. Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said: "We understand the frustration that these measures may cause and we are working with the aviation industry to minimise any impact."
