<p>Emergency services attended what was being described as a “terrorist incident” in the Westminster area on Tuesday, March 22.</p><p>One woman was confirmed dead and an unconfirmed number of people were injured when a vehicle drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. A police officer was also left in critical condition after being stabbed near the Houses of Parliament.</p><p>The parliament building was subsequently</a> placed on lockdown, during which time MPs shared photos and video</a> from inside the complex.</p><p>Video shared to social media shows people being carried away by paramedics on the southern end of the Bridge.</p><p>A full statement from the Metropolitan Police is available here</a>.</p><br />
