2018 Toyota Tundra is going to be the first model to be redesigned since the 2006 Tundra. The new model will have to update a lot of features.Toyota Tundra has been one of the most famous pickup trucks for long time. It was reliable, functional and most importantly, extremely durable. There was always a market for a mid-size pickup truck, and there still is. But the glory of Tundra is long gone, its heyday was so long ago that most of the people don’t even remember. Well, to freshen up your memory, the last time Toyota Tundra received an update was way back in 2006. It has been a decade since they made any changes to the ‘current’ model. Their competition, and there is a lot of it by the way, has overtaken the market a long time ago. Their up-to-date models are simply outmaneuvering Tundra in every aspect. Many people still don’t want to believe that we are about to witness a new Tundra. <br /> <br />And we most certainly will. There simply aren’t any official information at the moment, but speculations are very realistic, and Toyota does in fact need to try and retake the mid-size truck market. This means that we can expect the new Tundra to rest on a fresh, contemporary platform. This is the first step, as they need to get rid of the previously used materials and body styles. Rumor has it that they will be moving to a high-strength all-steel platform, which will reduce the weight of the truck, and in doing so, increase fuel efficiency. As for the exterior, it will probably look more or less the same. Expect to see new fenders, and probably even larger bumpers. <br /> <br />There are absolutely no news about the interior, but we can expect it to get updated as well. It needs to abide by the latest safety features, as well as include new technological systems. They will also have to work on comfort levels.
