<p>Property was damaged, roads obstructed and rivers inundated</a> in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Debbie, a severe weather event that brought heavy rain and wild wind to northern Queensland on March 28.</p><p>A diving instructor at the Whitsundays was among those out assessing the damage on Wednesday, March 29, including a yacht pulled from its moorings and washed ashore by the force of the storm.</p><p>The cyclone caused destruction as it struck the northern coast of Queensland</a>, lashing Ayr, Airlie Beach, Mackay, Hamilton Island and surrounding communities.</p><br />
