<p>Shots were fired by US Capitol Police officers in Washington on March 29 after a motorist didn’t stop when told, struck another vehicle and attempted to flee on foot on Independence Ave. near the US Capitol building.</p><p>Capitol Police spokeswoman Eva Malecki</a> told reporters that the suspect was arrested and the incident “appears to be criminal in nature, with no nexus to terrorism.”</p><br />
