<br /> <p>A wet kangaroo sodden by the remnants of former Cyclone Debbie charged at a man filming it at a Rothwell park on Wednesday, March 30.</p><p>As Brisbane residents were urged to take care and schools were closed as flash flooding and severe winds struck southeast Queensland, Ashley Jack saw the kangaroo bounding through the deluge.</p><p>He began filming it and a few seconds later the beast spontaneously changed track and charged toward him, footage shows.</p><p>Jack said in a subsequent post</a> he “did not have to fight” the ’roo. “It stopped coming at me when I ran away.”</p><p>Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said creek flooding was the major concern, the Brisbane Times reported</a>.</p><p>Queensland deputy Premier Jackie Trad told reporters</a> they did not “want parents or children to be on the road in this sort of weather.”</p><p>Queensland Police warned</a> against allowing children to play in flooded drains and creeks, after reports some were not keeping clear of waterways.</p><br />
