<p>The Iraqi Federal Police shared a drone video on March 29 described as showing Islamic State fighters using a child as a human shield in Mosul.</p><p>The drone shows a person said to be an IS fighter crossing a street with what appears to be a child by his side. The footage shows the pair in cross hairs and says no shots were fired for fear of harming the child.</p><p>Storyful cannot independently confirm what police said the video shows, but the source has been providing regular accurate accounts of the fighting from within the city of Mosul for a long period.</p><p>A United Nations report</a> on March 28 cited the use of civilians as human shields by Islamic State, amid reports of mounting casualties in the assault by Iraqi forces on the city.</p><br />
