<p>Lismore was evacuated when floodwaters besieged the town, inundating roads and leading to more than 200 rescues</a> by State Emergency Service crews.</p><p>Lauren Wallace shared footage of what appeared to be petrol glistening on the surface of moving floodwaters at a Woolworth petrol station on Diadem Street in the town’s centre.</p><p>The Bureau of Meteorology said</a> about 780mm of rain had fallen in the two days up to Friday morning, warning the Tweed River was reaching record flood levels.</p><br />
