A new version of the film May Poppins starring Emily Blunt was being shot on Whitehall in central London on Saturday.<br /><br />A film crew appeared to to be shooting something similar to the famous chimney sweep scene from the original 1964 film.<br /><br />The character Mary Poppins was first created by P. L. Travers and published as eight books over the period 1934 to 1988.
