While being very careful to avoid calling this a “smoking gun,” Fox News’ Brit Hume said that the recent report that Susan Rice was behind the “unmasking” of Trump aides in U.S. intelligence legitimizes the investigation. <br /> <br />He also said she needs to testify about the matter. <br /> <br />Hume is pretty egalitarian here though – he says that both tracks of investigations are now of equal political importance, the Republican investigation into surveillance of Trump, and the Democrat investigation of Trump’s possible ties to Russia. <br /> <br />So IF Susan Rice was also behind the leaking of Flynn’s name, then she committed a felony, and she’ll be in big trouble. The unmasking, on its own, doesn’t prove a whole lot, as the process can be legal, and reasonable, and our suspicions against Rice aren’t really admissible in a court of law.
