Heartwarming footage has emerged from Sydney, Australia of kangaroo joeys being taken care of after they were rescued from bushfires.<br /><br />The video shows the young kangaroos bonding with their carer as their burns are being treated before they can be released. <br /><br />Burnie, which can be seen eating a banana in the clip, was rescued by the family on February 18 form the Carwoola fires. <br /><br />He currently lives with two other joeys which were rescued from fires too. <br /><br />"Burnie was the first of two rescued on the day of the fires, with burns<br />to his feet, hands and tail," his carer wrote online. <br /><br />"He is doing great, and he will be released in spring if he overcomes all the injuries, which at this point we fully expect him to." <br /><br />"We have 4 inside the house, 3 from the fires. Then 6 out in our enclosure awaiting release," she added. <br /><br />"And a big mob that are freed that we see each and every night. Some are ones we raised, some of them wild ones that joined in because they get fed."
