<p>A military jet was reported to have crashed near Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on April 5.</p><p>Local reports said the plane, described as an F-16, went down in a wooded area south of the base, and that the pilot ejected and was taken to hospital.</p><br /><p>Locals were evacuated from nearby homes as fire spread from the crash site.
