<p>The Houston Zoo welcomed a baby female Masai giraffe on Monday, April 10. Mother Tyra was in labor for two hours before giving birth to the girl, who has yet to be named.</p><p>Mother and baby are bonding behind the scenes while zoo staff watches over them, according to the zoo. The calf will make her public debut after a few days alone with her mother.</p><p>The calf weighs 149 pounds and is estimated at six feet, three inches tall, the zoo said.
