CHENGDU, CHINA — A woman attempted to kidnap a two-year-old child from her mother in broad daylight on Sunday afternoon. <br /> <br />A mother was pushing her child in a stroller in the afternoon when a middle-aged woman rushed up and tried to snatch the toddler, the Shanghaiist reported. <br /> <br />After struggling unsuccessfully for 20 seconds to grab the kid, the woman is seen on CCTV footage running off down the street. <br /> <br />The woman was reportedly approached by a group of angry citizens who stopped her from getting away. <br /> <br />Reports then say the failed kidnapper was beaten up. Police eventually arrested the woman and dragged her off.
