<br /> <p>Protesters demonstrated against President-elect Aleksandar Vucic in Serbia’s capital Belgrade on April 12, ten days after Vucic, the prime minister, won the election with 55 percent of the vote.</p><p>Vucic was expected to continue the country’s path towards EU integration while maintaining close ties to Russia. Although the office of president is largely a ceremonial role, demonstrators fear he will maintain control over government through his Serbian Progressive Party.</p><p>This video shows a festive atmostphere on the streets of Belgrade on April 12.</p><br />
