Medallists<br />GOLD VALENZUELA Cristian CHI - Chile<br />Guide: GUAJARDO Cristopher<br />SILVER DUNKERLEY Jason Joseph CAN - Canada<br />Guide: KARANJA Josh<br />BRONZE WADA Shinya JPN - Japan<br /><br />LONDON, 7 September<br />Long-distance runner Christian VALENZUELA (CHI) paced his race to<br />perfection and went past the long-time leader Jason Joseph DUNKERLEY<br />(CAN) with two laps to go in the T11 men's 5000m and then steadily moved<br />away from the Canadian before crossing the line in 15 minutes 26.26<br />seconds to take more than 30 seconds off his personal best.<br />DUNKERLEY added a silver medal to the 1500m bronze he won earlier in the Games with 15:34.07.<br /><br />"We have a chance to talk because it is a long race. We talk about who is behind us. He (GUAJARDO) tells me, and I have to follow what he tells me. He told me to go in front and I had to, although I was exhausted...The people in Chile are going to be euphoric. I wanted to represent my country.
