PEACOCK Jonnie GBR 11.08 Q =PR<br />SINGLETON Jerome USA 11.46 Q<br /><br />The British world record holder Jonnie PEACOCK equalled the<br />Paralympic record with a 11.08 outing in the first of the three heats.<br />Alan OLIVEIRA, who beat PISTORIUS on Monday, had a slow start and finished third behind PEACOCK in 11.56 and only progressed to Thursday's final as one of the<br />two fastest non-automatic qualifiers.<br /><br />"It was a bad wind, a big wind: 1.6 I'll be a bit quicker in the final." said PEACOCK.<br /><br />"I'm just fine with it. My big thing was to go out there and make sure I got top two I didn't want to put everything on the line because I've got a relay tonight and I didn't want to let down my team."
