A man attempted to sail New Zealand’s South Island in an inflatable boat on April 19. <br /> <br />David Puklowski is attempting to circumnavigate the South Island of New Zealand in an inflatable boat to raise money for his friend, Russell Blowers, who has Rickets Disease. <br /> <br /> <br />Puklowski set sail from Lyttelton for Kaikoura while aboard the 3.8-meter boat. The journey was expected to take 19 days. Puklowski is documenting every leg of the challenge on the charity Facebook page Challenge for a Mate and on the charity website.
