Pro-Marijuana Activists Arrested at 'Joint Session' Rally in DC

<p>At least seven people were arrested at a “joint session” rally in Washington on Thursday, April 20. The event was hosted by DCMJ, a marijuana advocacy group, and anyone with a valid congressional ID could grab a joint.</p><p>Adam Eidinger, the co-founder of the group, was among those arrested, according to DCMJ.</a> CBS Local in Washington reported</a> giving away up to an ounce of marijuana is legal, as long as it doesn’t happen on federal ground.</p><p>DCMJ tweeted the arrests were for distributing on federal ground, and included a map</a> showing where they were stationed, writing, “We weren’t on federal property!”</p><p>Another pro-marijuana protest is planned</a> for April 24, in response to the arrests.</p><br />
