GEBENG, MALAYSIA — An Indonesian man got the shock of his life when he went to relieve himself in a bush and came under attack by a wild tiger. <br /> <br />On April 17 at a deserted mine near Kuantan, security guard Fridio Gelija, 28, was on patrol when he was overcome with a terrible stomachache. Opting to defecate in a bush by a river, he suddenly heard his two dogs barking. Seconds later, he felt his left leg being clawed and bitten. Gelija quickly realized he’d been ambushed by a wild Malay tiger. He tried to punch back, but got bit. When he tried to free his left hand with his right, he got bit again. <br /> <br />According to an interview published on Sinar Online, Gelija might’ve been a goner, if not for his two dogs dashing in at the last second to defend their master. Remarkably, the tiger decided to exit the fight. Covered in blood, Gelija managed to get to to take him to a nearby hospital, where he received ten stitches on his right arm. He says he will soon have to return to work to be able to feed his family.
