One of the marches ended at the Turkish consulate.</p><p>More than 1 million Armenians died at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in Turkey in 1915. The Turkish government denies a genocide took place, and the United States does not recognize the event as a genocide. The state of California, however, does.</p><br />
