A study on crash data revealed the safest place to sit on a plane.<br />Two studies analyzeddata from plane crashes in the U.S. since 1971, and passengers seated near the tail ofthe plane had a 69 percent survival rate compared to other parts of the craft.<br />Seatsover the wing and in coach had a 56 percent survival rate, while seatsin the front of the plane had 49 percent.<br />One of the studies also found thatspecifically, middle seats in the rear had the lowest fatality rateat 28 percent.<br />The least safe seats were those in the aisle of the middle third cabin.
