At least 20 people died, 33 injured and others were taken hostage when Islamist gunmen stormed a hotel in the capital city of Burkina Faso. Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb claimed responsibility for the attack. 63 hostages were evacuated safely. The assault is ongoing.
