Protesters Rally Against Fighting Between Rebel Factions in East Damascus Province

<p>People in opposition-held areas of eastern Damascus province protested on April 29 against ongoing fighting between rebel factions in several towns in Eastern Ghouta.</p><p>Heavy fighting erupted in recent weeks between Jaish al-Islam, the largest faction in the area, and Tahrir al-Sham and Failaq al-Rahman.</p><p>The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights</a> reported that at least 38 fighters were killed, as well as a child and an adult civilian.</p><p>Regime forces took advantage of the fighting between rebel factions to make advances in east Damascus, according to local opposition media accounts</a>.</p><p>This video was shared by a pro-opposition media and is described as showing protests against the fighting between factions.
