<p>More than 100 roads were closed in southeast Missouri on Saturday, April 29, after significant rain triggered flooding that washed away some roads and bridges.</p><p>Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens declared a state of emergency</a> in response to the flash flooding. Residents in hard hit areas were evacuated, and the American Red Cross opened shelters.</p><p>Emergency responders had to perform dozens of water rescues, including the one in this video. Missouri state troopers rescued four people and a dog from a home on the Big Piney River in Texas County.</p><p>Flash flood warnings</a> continued on Sunday.</p><br />
