Amy Schumer faced intense backlash when news broke in December that she was to star in a Barbie movie,</p><br /><p>with Internet trolls saying she doesn’t have the right stuff to play the iconic teeny-waisted doll. And while she fired back with a post about being “a great choice,”</p><br /><p>the onslaught of negativity proved too much for Amy — and the studio — to bear. “Amy’s used to hecklers,” says a source, “but Sony was spooked by the furor.”</p><br /><p>While she dropped out in March, citing scheduling conflicts, the source says in reality she and the producers agreed to part ways.</p><br /><p>Adds the source: “It’s a shame.
