<p>The Eta Aquarids</a> are meteor showers most visible on May 7 annually, and in 2017 they did not fail to delight those who took the time to watch as their tails lit up the sky.</p><p>Photographer David Finlay viewed the shower from Kiama, New South Wales, and said it was “an especially good show with lots of bright fireballs, leaving green ionised trails.”</p><p>“The Eta Aquarids are caused by the Earth passing through dust left behind by the tail of Halley’s Comet.”</p><br />
