<p>Black smoke from a raging wildfire blanketed the sky over St. George, Georgia, on Monday, May 8.</p><p>Evacuation orders</a> were issued for residents of the town as the blaze, dubbed the West Mims Fire, had burned more than 133,000 acres in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge over a month, according to authorities</a>. Schools in the Charlton County, where St. George is, were closed on Monday.</p><p>More than 600 firefighters, 10 helicopters and 59 fire engines were deployed to fight the fire scorching parts of the Florida-Georgia border, Action News Jax</a> reported.</p><br />
