<p>The Ottawa River crested on Monday</a>, May 8, after days of rising water that has flooded parts of Ottawa and Gatineau. Hundreds of homes on both sides of the river were evacuated because of the flooding.</p><p>Canadian soldiers have been dispatched to areas along the Ottawa River and in the Montreal area to help those affected by the historic flooding.</p><p>This video shows the Ottawa River between Gatineau and Ottawa.</p><br />
