WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has pulled a move from the Apprentice and fired FBI Director James Comey. <br /> <br />This removes the top federal law-enforcement official who was overseeing a criminal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. <br /> <br />The reason Trump gave for firing Comey? The director’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, even though it was Trump who benefited the most from that whole fiasco. <br /> <br />Comey found out about his fate from a TV news report while he was speaking at an FBI field office in L.A. He laughed at first, thinking it was a prank.
