<p>Aerial footage reveals severe flooding on May 8 in Quebec’s Deux-Montagnes and Laval. In this video, most of Deux-Montagnes’ roads and lawns are seen swamped by the heavy flooding.</p><p>About 2200 Canadian forces have been deployed to flood-affected parts of Quebec, including Laval, as part of Operation LENTUS.</p><p>The Canadian Armed Forces said in a statement</a> that the flood relief efforts included sandbag distribution, traffic and evacuation assistance, general patrolling of infrastructure and citizens, and the protection of water treatment plants and bridges.</p><p>A Public Safety Canada press release</a> stated: “More troops are now deployed for the operation in Quebec than the rest of all Canadian Armed Forces operations around the world combined.”</p><p>Storyful cannot advise on the rights to the music in this footage.</p><br />
