<p>A storm system in the Pacific brought unseasonably heavy rain to Coquimbo, Chile, on Thursday, May 11.</p><p>This footage shows Los Clarines, a street in Coquimbo completely flooded by rainwater.</p><p>AccuWeather</a> reported that the storm was expected to deliver torrential rain to Chile’s central coastal region and trigger heavy snowfall further inland through the weekend.</p><p>Chile’s National Emergency Office</a> declared the Coquimbo region to be under a rainfall Yellow Alert, along with Atacama, Valparaiso, Metropolitana and O’Higgins. More than 13,000 people were without power and a wall at the Recoleta reservoir was damaged on Friday, May 12, causing further flooding</a>.</p><br />
