Saturday’s protest featured groups speaking out against the city’s plans to sell the statue, and The Daily Progress</a> reported that participants held torches and chanted cries of “You will not replace us,” “Russia is our friend,” and “Blood and soil.”</p><p>Tensions flared at Saturday and Sunday’s demonstrations, with altercations breaking out between rival protesters.
