Vic Mensa is definitely a leader in our culture and isn't afraid to be different -- unapologetically be himself. And he proved that on Sway in the Morning.

Beginning our chat about the Hip Hop, he opens our eyes to an interesting perspective.

"Hip Hop is the only genre that is expected to remain called 'Hip-Hop.'... people say hip hop is dead... [but] you don't call any modern rock just rock." Explaining the difference between Punk Rock and its different levels.

Being recently signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation, he details a story between him and Jay that reassured him that he was on the right path. He also shared the biggest game he received from Hov.

"Shit just falls into place. When its right, its not wrong," he tells us.

While he was in-studio with us, he gave us some insight on his current single U Mad -- telling us it was about his girlfriend, and how he was trying to hide it from her for some time. (Ha!)

He also plays a little game with us in-studio -- what makes Vic mad? From his relationship, to writing music, even sex.

We couldn't let him leave without spitting a FREESTYLE though! Let the bars fly below, and stay tuned to his TL for his next project, Traffic.

Subscribe to our page: http://bit.ly/SVsBQC

TWITTER:
http://twitter.com/RealSway
http://twitter.com/TheHappyHourwHB
http://twitter.com/DJWonder
http://twitter.com/ItsTracyG
http://twitter.com/NickyGeezy
http://twitter.com/NahGeeIsn

FACEBOOK:
https://www.facebook.com/SwayCalloway

WEBSITE:
http://swaysuniverse.com
http://ishootnyc.com

Sways Universe, Sway In The Morning, Rap, Hip-Hop, Freestyles, Interviews, Live, Concert, Performances, Actors, Athletes, Singers, Celebrities, Television, FIlm, Shade45, 5 Fingers of Death, i shoot nyc, ishootnyc
