Amazing footage of a herd of buffalo trying to save one of their own after it was taken down by two hunting lions. <br /><br />The video, captured by Riesdah Gabier in Timbavati Reserve on Apri 9, shows the aggressive big cats deliberately targeting an injured buffalo after tracking the herd for quite some time. <br /><br />After the attack, the buffalo tries furiously to free itself and, with the help of the rest of the herd, the lions eventually give up and flee. <br /><br />It's not known if the animal survived long term, but it can be seen climbing to its feet at the end of the clip.
