<p>The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado released bodycam footage showing an officer-involved shooting that took place in Littleton on May 13.</p><p>In the video, a sheriff’s deputy, identified in reports</a> as Brad Proulx, can be seen near to an SUV. The sheriff’s office reportedly said Proulx had pulled over to offer assistance.</p><p>As he made his way around the vehicle, the vehicle’s driver, named Deyon Marcus Rivas-Maestas, emerged brandishing a weapon, and allegedly attacked.</p><p>Retreating, Proulx discharged his weapon, hitting Rivas-Maestas, who was taken to hospital. Rivas-Maestas will face assault charges once discharged from hospital, Commander Trent Cooper of the Littleton Police Department was reported</a> to have said.</p><br />
