The Arkansas State volleyball team defeated Appalachian State on Sunday 3-2 to win the 2015 Sun Belt Volleyball Championship Tournament and a berth into the 2015 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship.<br />Already the regular season champions, the Red Wolves swept host Georgia Southern on Friday (3-0), swept Little Rock on Saturday (3-0), and defeated App State in five sets on Sunday. With the win, the Red Wolves have clinched their first trip to the NCAA tournament since 1999. <br /><br />Appalachian State took an early lead, claiming the first two sets (28-26, 25-19). Arkansas State then fought back, bringing the match to five sets (25-18, 25-21) The Red Wolves won the final set 15-12.<br /> <br />Freshman Carlisa May led the Red Wolves offense with 18 kills. while Drew Jones recorded 14. Setter Mallory Warrington dished out an impressive 55 assists.
