<p>Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confiscated infrastructure equipment and took apart the Sumud Freedom Camp</a>, an activist enclave established by Diaspora Jews, Palestinians and Israelis south of Hebron, late on Saturday, May 20.</p><p>Israeli media reports said</a> approximately 80 activists were at the camp when soldiers arrived. Despite several intermittent scuffles, none were arrested or forcibly removed from the area.</p><p>Sumud, formerly known as the village of Sarurah, was opened on May 19 as the re-establishment of a village whose population had been forcibly expelled by the IDF in the 1980’s and 1990’s</a>.</p><br />
