Chocolate Chip Cookies <br /> <br />Ingredients <br />1 cup (250 mL) butter, softened <br />1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar <br />½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar <br />2 eggs <br />1 Tbsp (15 mL) vanilla <br />2⅓ cups (575 mL) all purpose flour <br />1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda <br />½ tsp (2 mL) salt <br />1½ cups (375 mL) semisweet chocolate chips <br />½ cup (125 mL) raisins <br /> <br /> <br />Method <br />Pre-heat your oven to 350ºF (180°C). <br />In bowl, cream together butter & sugars until fluffy. <br />Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; beat in vanilla. <br />Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. <br />Stir in chocolate chips, and raisins. <br />Chill for 30 minutes. <br />Drop by rounded 1 Tbsp onto baking sheets. <br />Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven until edges are golden, 10-12 minutes. <br />Let cool on baking pan on a cooling rack for 5 minutes; then transfer to racks and cool completely. <br /> <br />Makes 36 cookies.
