<p>A man who reportedly bitten on the leg while hiking in the Gold Coast hinterland was airlifted to the hospital on May 24.</p><p>The Rescue 500 Brisbane was called out to Purlingbrook Falls in Springbrook to attend to a 20-year-old man who was bitten by the reptile.</p><p>A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson told Storyful they received a call around 3.15 pm on Wednesday afternoon from a friend of the patient. The friend was instructed to download the Emergency Plus app on their phone to provide the longitude and latitude so the helicopter could geo-locate them. The patient was flown to Prince Alexandra Hospital in stable condition.</p><br />
