Premier Boxing Champions on Tuesday announced that 2012 U.S. Olympian Jamel Herring will take on Luis Eduardo Flores in the main event of the Feb. 9 “Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays” event on Fox Sports 1.

Herring (14-0, 8 KOs) didn’t capture a medal in the 2012 Games, but he’s looked superb as a pro thus far. He’ll face the stiffest challenge of his pro career when he takes on Flores, a heavy-handed Colombian.

“I know the spotlight will be on me, but I will keep my cool and focus on getting the win,” Herring stated in a release. “Training has been going really well because I stay in shape year round. I know my opponent is tall and rangy and has a good punch. I am preparing myself to make adjustments and be ready for anything. I'm looking to get the win by any means necessary.”

Flores (21-2, 17 KOs) has won eight of his last nine, including two in a row. His tussle with Herring will mark his U.S. debut, but he is confident that he will hand the unbeaten contender his first loss.

“I will take advantage of this opportunity and I want to thank my team for getting this fight,” said Flores. “I am 100 percent positive I will win this fight. The only thing I know about Herring is that he likes to run a lot. I am coming to get a knockout and take away Herring's ‘O’.”

The event will take place at Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Penn. Televised coverage will go live on FS1 starting at 11 p.m. ETR/8 p.m. PT.
