<p>The government of Fukushima prefecture has released a series of drone videos showing the rebuilding work six years after a tsunami and earthquake devastated the region.</p><p>These videos were originally captured in December 2016. They show a variety of areas, including Fukushima Prefecture’s Iwaki city, which is located about 30 miles south of the Fukushima power plant</a>, and Futaba, a town about 11 miles north of the plant</a>. Reconstructed roads and coastline can be seen.</p><p>On May 12, the Japanese diet enacted a bill aimed at accelerating Fukushima’s reconstruction by utilizing state funds to decontaminate specific districts that were exposed to radiation from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.</p><br />
