British police investigating the Manchester suicide bombing said they had lifted a cordon and allowed residents to return home on Thursday (May 25) after bomb disposal experts were called to an address in the nearby town of Wigan. <br /> <br />The bomb disposal units had earlier been called to the scene after police said potentially suspicious items were found. <br /> <br />Television footage showed a large bomb disposal van in a street in Wigan that was cordoned off by police tape. Police declined to comment. <br /> <br />British police said earlier on Thursday that they had raided a house in Wigan which was being searched in connection with Monday's (May 22) bombing which killed 22 people and injured more than 100.
