United Airlines may face a fine up to $435,000 after flying a plane, deemed as unsafe, more than two dozen times in 2014. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the airline failed to perform a required inspection of the plane after mechanics replaced a fuel pump pressure switch. The plane made at least 20 more domestic and international flights before its inspection. Now, the agency is proposing the fine for "allegedly operating an aircraft that was not in airworthy condition.”
