Thousands Rally in Phnom Penh Ahead of Commune Election

<p>The Cambodia National Rescue Party held a rally in Phnom Penh on June 2, two days ahead of the 2017 Cambodia Commune Election on June 4.</p><p>According to live reports from The Cambodia Daily</a>, party President Kem Sokha addressed thousands of supporters near the Sokha Hotel before the rally crowd began marching through Phnom Penh.</p><p>Earlier that day, Cambodian People’s Party supporters joined Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen for a final rally through the streets of Phnom Penh, according to The Phnom Penh Post</a>. On June 1, local newspapers reported</a> that the party was told it would not be allowed to hold its rally because it could threaten the safety of Hun Sen, but it was held anyway.</p><p>In this video, party members and supporters ride scooters, drive and walk through the streets of Phnom Penh.</p><br />
