Remains of Aztec Temple Found in Mexico City

<br /> <p>Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) confirmed on June 7 that the remains of an Aztec temple more than 500 years old and dedicated to the god of wind Ehécatl had been discovered in the center of Mexico City.</p><p>Archaelogist Raúl Barrera said the temple, and a ball court nearby that was excavated in 2014, were used between 1481 and 1519, INAH said</a>. The temple of Ehécatl, the remains of which were first found in 2010, faced the Templo Mayor, or main temple, in the Aztec’s capital city of Tenochtitlan, now Mexico City.</p><br />
